FLOREANT PROJECTS

“For humans, sustainability is the potential for long term maintenance of well being, which has environmental, economic and social dimension.”  Wikipedia

“ Vision in photography is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.” Unknown

The FloreAnt Projects is a collaborative effort between Florence Rodale and her husband, Anthony Rodale. It is a platform to combine their passion for the art of photography and their experience as advocates for sustainability. They’ve always placed nature, the land and the people who tend to it as their top priority.

Florence Rodale is a French transplant, self-taught photographer with a specialization in handmade photographic processes. She has studied with the likes of Christopher James, Joyce Tennesson, Michael Smith and Paula Chamelee, Carl Weiss, Arkadee Lelov, Joni Sternback and Joyce Goldkind to name a few. Florence crafts emotionally charged images. She runs an urban micro-farm in Pennsylvania where she grows lavender.

Anthony Rodale who studied at the Brooks Institute of Photography is a life-long photographer whose international photo-journalistic work has focused on people, in particular people living and working with the land, and more recently athletes. He aims to capture and interpret the mental state and physical energy of athletes in motion. Anthony is an accomplished triathlete and an owner in a family publishing business.
